October 2016 OOTM
The temperatures in Calgary have made it necessary to start wearing a winter jacket again (except on the day that I took pictures of this outfit haha). Every so often when I go grocery shopping at the Superstore, I take a peek at what's new in the Joe Fresh section. This colour block puffer jacket really caught my eye because burgundy and navy are two of my favourite colours, especially for fall and winter. It's warm, lightweight, and it's 25% off until November 2 (online and in-store)! My sweatshirt is the navy unisex YYC Crewneck Sweatshirt from Local Laundry. I love the simplicity of the logo and I'm proud to represent YYC while I wear it. Local Laundry is an amazing Calgary-based business founded by Connor Curran. Their mission is to raise a million dollars for local charities, and they are on the way to doing so by donating 10% of their profits back into the community. My jeans are my favourite style of high-waisted skinnies in a dark blue rinse. The exact jeans I'm wearing are currently unavailable but you can find similar pairs here and here. My boots are the black Cougar Women's 39068 Originals. They are extremely comfortable, waterproof, and are rated for -30°C/-22°F. They also have slip-resistant rubber outsoles that make me feel more secure carrying the boys around in the wintertime. I'm not quite ready for winter yet but at least I have a warm sweatshirt, jacket, and boots to brave the cold!
